We all have to-do lists, especially in the lead up to Christmas, but some of us are better at doing them than others. Here are some common DIY to-do list items and how you can tackle them.
Clean Up for a Party
Now that summer is finally upon us, it’s the perfect time to prepare an outside area for hosting friends and family. If it’s been a while since you’ve done any real gardening and the bushes and
shrubs look a little unsightly, a hedge trimmer will help you to make light work of cutting them back to a neat appearance. When you do have people over, some folding tables coupled with our
stackable white bistro chairs are perfect to hire for when there are extra friends and family over for an event or barbecue.
Re-Stain Your Deck
Decks are often a great social space but they do require maintenance and you should look to re-stain or re-coat it every couple of years. More often than not, before you commence this process you
need to prepare it by sanding it. Our Orbital floor sander is perfect for this and is the only unit that can sand over dome head nails. We also have the Hiretech floor sander, which can be used on the decking where dome head nails are not present. There is also an edge sander which will allow you to sand right up against the wall of the house so that no area of the deck is missed. Whether you just want to lightly sand the surface or take it back to raw timber, we have a range of sand papers which will achieve this.
Re-Paint Your Roof
Most of us don’t spend a lot of time looking at our roof. As a result, dirt and debris can quickly build up without us noticing. The Australian climate also means that paint can degrade and become
damaged very rapidly in some places. Before you can repaint your roof, you need to wash it down and remove any flaking paint and clear it of any debris. Using our water pressure cleaner in
combination with our airless spray unit makes efficient work of cleaning any roof.
