Best Narrow Access Equipment For Site Work

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]s building trends change, different equipment becomes available which suit the changing needs of building sites and completed homes. We’ve worked hard to keep up with equipment that is perfect for narrow access areas as many homes are now built so close to boundary lines and fences. All of the following items are great for home renovations or other projects with narrow access – without compromising on quality.

Portable conveyor

If you are moving materials such as rubble, soil, or wood chips through narrow areas or up steep embankments then using a portable conveyor will be a massive help.
Our conveyors are made out of light and sturdy aluminium, and up to four conveyors can be linked together using just one power source. Conveyors are available in lengths of 3.2m and 5.4m and we offer up to 30% discount for hiring multiple conveyors as part of the same hire contract.

Hi-Tip Dumper

The Cormidi C80 Hi-Tip Dumper is the most recent addition to our narrow access equipment offering and is a great addition to our Portable Conveyor hire.
At only 850mm wide with a tracked drive system that can tackle a massive 20 degree incline, the Cormidi brand Hi-Tip Dumper is a highly versatile piece of equipment. The full hydraulic functions of the dumper mean that transporting and even tipping a huge 800kg load at 1.4m high is accomplished with minimal effort & low risk.
This item also pairs well with an excavator. Load up the excavated material, drive it out and dump it all without lifting a shovel!

1Tonne Compact Excavator

Even in tiny spaces, you can still use a full-strength excavator. Our 1T Compact Excavator fits through internal doors and hallways and with rubber tracks possible damage to floor surfaces is reduced. What’s more is that you do not need a license to operate this 700mm wide vehicle, though we are more than happy to help demonstrate how to use it correctly when you hire.

5.8m scissor lift

Our smallest electric scissor lift is just 760mm wide, with a 1.64 metre outer turning radius it almost turns on the spot. For narrow alleys, small sites, and sides of houses with level, hard sealed surfaces, this lift is perfect to move personnel and materials between levels. The scissor lift is good for both indoor and outdoor use. If you are using a lift for a longer project, we have generous discounts available for scissor lift hires that are three weeks or more.

Hallway scaffold

As part of our scaffolding collection, our hallway scaffolds offer the same safety and strength as standard width aluminium towers, but has the added benefit of being 600mm wide. It can fit into very narrow hallways, and can be assembled to platform heights between 1.5m and 6.0 metres. Another option is our “Zippy” scaffold, which is a perfectly portable folding scaffold. Also at just 600mm wide, this fold-to-open aluminium scaffolding can fit in narrow areas with harder access, and go wherever you need it.
